MULTIDIMENSIONS OF COLOURS, SHAPES AND ORGANIC COMPOSITIONS
Willian Santiago produces playful illustrations, which express elements of nature and have an exotic and lively force. He graduated in Graphic Design and began his career working with fashion, which enabled him to work with different brands and improve his personal work. Today, with his own illustration studio, his work is focused on editorials, advertising, product applications and independent creations.
He has already illustrated for main magazines in Brazil and made partnerships and campaigns for renowned brands such as Adobe, Natura, Penguin Books and Havaianas.
In 2016 he won the Jabuti Prize for Literature, in the category of digital illustration, for illustrating the first children’s tale by the writer Luis Fernando Verissimo, “The Seventh Cat”. Willian mixes manual techniques with digital illustration and his work brings beautiful compositions of colours and textures, with graphic and round forms. Elements of the daily life are transformed into a playful and surreal universe loaded with history and rich references by the artist.
