ISABELLA GALVÃO

Isabella Galvão is a visual artist from Pernambuco, Brazil, who is passionate about nature in all its forms. Her creative process is very linked to music, not only sounds but also the music of words and their senses which become images in her work. Bella listens to the day to turn it into art.

The artist studied design and art direction and her work has taken her to illustration, painting, as well as directing audiovisual projects. Nature, always present as an inspiration for her work, goes beyond the fundamental elements such as water, earth or fire and is also expressed through the human body. Nothing more natural then for her to make a bridge between her illustration work and her tattoo project, which has already traveled through Brazil, Paris, Lisbon and London.

There is something existential in Bella’s art. We see feelings and messages behind the images. The abstract brings movement and opens paths in an imagery that is inspired by the plurality, blend and anthropophagy of the land where the artist feeds herself with inspiration every day.
